Greetings from the Malson family in NW Montana....

     Hope you and your family are fine and having a good winter, as we all are. We’ve had
unusually heavy snow fall this year but that will be appreciated during our summer
months as it should lessen the fire dangers.
     As we write this letter it is the first part of February and I must admit that an update
is long over due. We sold the hunting part of our outfitting business just a year ago ...
retaining the fishing time and permits. ( Jerry will still take out fly fishing clients on the
various waterways here in the Western part of Montana.)  Actually our hunting permits
were so large (after over 25 years of outfitting) that we split them between two
outfitters. One is Cody Carr who operates out of Plains, MT. who added the permit to
those he already had, and the larger part was taken by Reggie Carper of Noxon, MT. who
guided for us for a number of years. I have every confidence that either of these
outfitters can give you a good hunt.  So if this part of Montana is where you want to
hunt, give us a call and we can point you in the right direction.
     We are also going to ‘slim down’ on the real estate that we own and have almost 40
acres of parked out land for sale. It is fairly flat (here on the valley floor) with wonderful
views of the mountains. There is water running through it and a pond for irrigating or
stock could be put in. Lots of possibilities. 
     We want to thank the hundreds..... well, probably thousands of folks over all the
years.... who have hunted with us and talked hunting with us at the many outdoor sports
shows we’ve attended. We’ve made some good friends and will miss the opportunity to
see them again.
     If you are looking for a fly fishing trip Jerry is still deeply involved with fishing. Give us
a call and we can set you up with a trip. 
     Fly Fishing Trips  Any of our fully guided fishing trips (for two clients) is $350.00 per
day total, whether this is a drift boat trip or a wade trip.  Jerry’s usually near the phone ~
